As mentioned in my previous SquarkBlog, we have a boatload of games coming our way. These are new games that we are stocking for the first time in Malaysia. One of the games that I am excited about is Killer Bunnies and the Quest for the Magic Carrot. This is a hilariously fun quick-playing card game (I like these types of card games) where each player tries to kill other players' bunnies with zany weapons like the Whimsical Whisk, the Butcher's Cleaver and the Nuclear Warhead, while protecting one's own bunnies! This game is guaranteed to provide lots of laughter ‘cos of the crazy bunnies and weapons. Fans of Munchkins would love Killer Bunnies! The illustrations on the cards are fun as they are functional. This game is also expandable with different expansion sets for more bunny mayhem!

Nice friendly bunny with a tendency for a flying drop kick is seen here on the Killer Bunnies Blue Box. BTW, each optional expansion comes in different colours and adds more chaos to the game. Fora peek of the zany cards, take a lookee here:

BTW, the Magic Spatula shown above can protect your own bunnies from certain attacks.
For Eurogamers, we have the newly-released Livingstone. In this game, each player follows the footsteps of the famous missionary David Livingstone in Africa and establishes foundations as well as collecting gemstones.

The game board is really beautiful, with great-looking components and absorbing gameplay. Some people have compared Livingstone to the game Stone Age, which also has absorbing gameplay. Livingstone is a fun and simple Designer Eurogame suitable for the whole family. Have a look at the game components and check out the gemstones in the following picture:

The third board game I will be highlighting in this teaser SquarkBlog is Conquest of the Fallen Lands by independent publishers ASSA Games. I have communicated with them and I have to say, they are one of the most friendly and knowledgeable people in the game-publishing business. These traits alone make it an absolute pleasure for Squark Games to be the exclusive distributor of their games. (The other game from ASSA Games that is also on our boat is Galaxy's Edge). Now, Conquest of the Fallen Lands is a light fantasy game where players have to free a land being invaded by monster hordes and gain plunder as they go. The basic game lasts about an hour. For more discerning players, there are also the advanced rules where more strategic thinking is required in order to win. Just check out the summary on the box lid in the pic below: "Fight Monsters, Collect Treasure and Free the Land". What can be more fun?

This concludes this current SquarkBlog. Watch this space for more teasers of what new games are arriving in Malaysia. Oh, BTW , one of my favourite energy-providing fruits is the humble banana.
