Monsters March into New York!
The hugely popular game, Monsterpocalypse, is on the move! Series 2, called "I Chomp NY", is marching into New York City! This latest series from Privateer Press, Inc., allow monster combat in the setting of The City That Never Sleeps, with new monsters, units and New York landmark buildings (Monuments). I love buildings, especially miniatures of famous landmarks. In this series, Statue of Liberty, the Chrysler Building and the Empire State Building are the Monuments. There are new monsters and units too!
Personally, I am very excited about ICNY. New York City was the first US location that I got my first-hand experience of how big the gaming scene was in the US. I went to New York after my graduation a few years ago and made a beeline for the games stores there. The most memorable games store was The Compleat Gamer. It was eye-opening to find a hobby games shop right in the heart of New York, situated at 11 East 33rd Street, between Madison and Fifth. The rental must be monstrously gynormous! I can still remember how I felt when I first entered the shop. It's name was apt - there were so many games there, almost every game I was looking for was available.
Anyway, back to this week - can't until our shipment of "I Chomp NY" marches into Kuala Lumpur into the hands of Malaysian Monsterpocalypse fans...and that's happening this March!
